The 2014 season officially got underway for the JDC MotorSports Pro Mazda Championship program with a solid effort by the multiple series champion in the inaugural Cooper Tires Winterfest. The ‘warm-up’ events leading up to the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires series this season saw American Michael Johnson impress the paddock in his series debut, securing top-10 finishes at both NOLA Motorsports Park (February 21-22) and Barber Motorsports Park (February 25-26), while fellow American up-and-comer Kyle Connery cracked the top-10 in his lone event in Alabama.

Rising American talent Spencer Pigot continued his impressive form over the past two days as the Cooper Tires Winterfest for Pro Mazda concluded with a pair of races at Barber Motorsports Park.

Juncos Racing showcased a strong performance to kick off the 2014 season claiming the Cooper Tires Winterfest Championship. Driver Spencer Pigot took four podiums and claimed a new track record while teammates Jose Gutierrez, Kyle Kaiser, and Julia Ballario added multiple Top-10 finishes in the four rounds of the championship at NOLA Motorsports Park and Barber Motorsports Park.

The Pro Mazda crews wrapped up Winterfest with third and fourth-place finishes in the winter series championship.
