Rookie pair will join the reigning champions for NOLA Spring Training and St. Petersburg season opener

Mundelein, Ill. – Turn 3 Motorsport is pleased to announce the addition of Titus Sherlock and Elliot Cox to the team for both Spring Training at Louisiana’s NOLA Motorsports Park this weekend and the opening round of the 2025 USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida next weekend.

The pair of American drivers will make their USF Pro 2000 debuts as rookies, each bringing valuable experience from their respective racing backgrounds.

Twenty-year-old Titus Sherlock, from San Diego, California, has built an impressive resume in open-wheel racing. He finished as the Vice Champion of the 2021 Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series, securing three wins and 14 podiums. He moved up to the F4 United States Championship in 2022 before making a strong impact in the series in 2023, finishing second in the standings with two wins and four podiums. In 2024, Sherlock advanced to the Formula Regional Americas Championship, where he claimed his first series victory at Road America and went on to win three additional races, finishing fourth overall in the championship.

“I’m super excited to be joining Turn 3 Motorsport,” said Sherlock. “They are a proven race and championship winning team, and I can’t wait to learn as much as possible from them and hopefully bring home some good results. I can’t thank them enough for this opportunity!”

Seventeen-year-old Elliot Cox, hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, has shown considerable promise in his burgeoning racing career. In 2022, Cox participated in the inaugural USF Juniors season, finishing 11th in the standings. The following year, Cox advanced to the USF2000 Championship, securing 12th place overall. His 2024 season marked significant progress as he achieved three podium finishes, including a season high second-place result in the final round at Portland International Raceway, culminating in a sixth place finish in the championship. Beyond the track, Cox founded the charity “Driving for Dyslexia,” utilizing his platform to raise awareness and funds for dyslexia education.

“I’m absolutely over the moon to be given the opportunity to start my rookie season in USF Pro 2000 with Turn 3 Motorsport,” said Cox. “Their resume is extremely impressive, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together in the future!”

Sherlock will pilot the #3 car supported by Mosaic Animal Health Center, Ronald McDonald House, and Rayne Nutrition, while Cox takes the wheel of the #22 car supported by Hartman Oil, Chick-fil-A, Wings and Wheels Foundation, Alderson Commercial Group, and Sarah and Andy O’Gara.

They join teammates Alessandro De Tullio, Tyke Durst and Cooper Becklin, expanding Turn 3 Motorsport's lineup to a formidable five-car program for the start of the 2025 season. The team enters the season with excellent momentum, having clinched the series championship last year with current INDY NXT driver and USF Pro Championships scholarship winner Lochie Hughes.

“It’s great to be able to announce Titus and Elliot will be joining us for Spring Training at NOLA Motorsports Park and the first race weekend in St. Petersburg,” said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. “Titus has done a lot of testing with us this off season, and we have been very impressed with his speed and focus. It’s great to have him continue with us for the start of the season.”

“Elliot is a young, exciting, up and coming talent that had a very good season last year,” continued Dempsey. “I think he will come in and be very strong at St. Petersburg. NOLA will be just about settling into the team and hitting our targets over the two days. Only Elliot and Tyke have been to St. Petersburg before out of our driver lineup, so we expect them to be strong out of the box. The other three drivers will have to learn the track during the practice session, so maximizing track time will be important. We are all looking forward to getting the season started.”

The 2025 USF Pro 2000 Championship season begins with official Spring Training at NOLA Motorsports Park this weekend where all championship drivers will have a chance to get some testing in ahead of the first race event. The USF Pro 2000 Championship will feature eight events and 18 races across North America, kicking off with Rounds 1 and 2 from February 28–March 2 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
