SEBRING, Fla. – Turn 3 Motorsport will continue the 2023 season at Sebring International Raceway this weekend for Rounds 3/4 of USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires. The 3.74-mile central Florida road course hosted the official Spring Training for USF Pro Championship competitors last month where Turn 3 Motorsport proved to be quick thanks to plenty of pre-season testing on the circuit, landing drivers in the top five spots in every official test session.
The USF Pro 2000 series will race as part of the HSR Spring Fling & Porsche Sprint Challenge this weekend, making an exciting event for both the participants and spectators.
#1 Michael d'Orlando // USF Pro 2000 USF Pro Championships / Priority Payments Systems / Focused Project Management / UFC Gym Mamaroneck / Rising Star Racing
“I’m looking forward to Sebring this weekend," said d'Orlando. "We didn’t quite have the start to the season that we wanted in St. Petersburg with an unfortunate series of events, but we live and we learn. I know from testing that Turn 3 Motorsport and I have been fast at Sebring, so I say it’s time to turn my luck around and make something good happen in these two races. I can’t wait to get back in the car and show everyone just how fast we really are.”
#2 Jonathan Browne // USF Pro 2000 JB Racing / Motorsport Ireland / CRPS Awareness
“I’m looking forward to getting back on track this weekend at Sebring," said Browne. "It’s a track we have done a lot of testing at, so we know what to expect. It’s a tricky place to hook up a lap, but we are more than ready to come out on top at this event!”
#47 Jackson Lee // USF Pro 2000 IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center / Race for RP / Prime 47 / Browning Chapman
“Everyone has had plenty of testing at Sebring, so I expect this weekend to have a super tight field,” said Lee. “I’m very excited to get to work and show what we can do! We have a strong car, and I feel confident in the pace we have. We just need to put it together and get the result I know we are capable of. The team has worked very hard to prepare for this event, and I can’t thank them enough.”
“This weekend at Sebring International Raceway is going to be a challenging event for all the drivers and teams,” said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. “This is one of the roughest tracks in the USA, so it’s very hard on the equipment, and the driver needs to be extremely committed to getting the most out of the car. All our drivers have tested here and been fast, so we are expecting to have a strong weekend. It’s the first time for our series running with all these other series, so it will be interesting to see how the track conditions change over the weekend. We are ready and looking forward to getting on track.”
On track activity begins on Friday with practice, qualifying, and the first of two races. Saturday will host another qualifying session followed by the second and final race of the weekend. Live video coverage will be available on the free USF Pro Championships app and YouTube channels throughout the weekend.
