Indianapolis, Ind. – French driver Timothé Buret will compete in his first-ever oval race this weekend at the #MRTI FreedomFest, which will take place at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. Buret comes in to this race with strong momentum after completing his best weekend of the season at the Indianapolis Grand Prix, where he scored his first Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires career victory and was on the podium in each of the three races.
The Juncos Racing driver is halfway through his first season competing in the USA, and grew up driving road courses in Europe so the Cooper Tires Freedom 90 will be his first experience in an oval. Despite his rookie status he has proven to be able to quickly adapt to the American style of racing and this weekend he will look to continue climbing up in the championship, where he currently stands third with 153 points. The Pro Mazda grid participated in three test sessions on Thursday to acclimate the drivers for the one-day event on Saturday.

“Yesterday was a very difficult day for me with and I had to learn a lot of new things. It was my first experience in oval and I don't need to tell you that it’s very different. But I’ve been working hard with my driver coaches, my engineers, my mental preparator and Speed Group so I can come back Saturday stronger and more confident. No matter what, the race will be a great experience for me.”
