Indianapolis, IN – Juncos Racing is pleased to announce Frenchman Timothé Buret will join the team for the 2015 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires. The 2015 season will mark Buret’s first year racing in North America after a successful start to his racing career in Europe. Buret is the third Pro Mazda driver to commit to the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship winning team.

Timothé Buret, 19, from Montpellier, France, made his first appearance in the Mazda Road to Indy ladder system testing in the Pro Mazda series with Juncos Racing at the fourth annual “Chris Griffis Memorial Test” back in September. Buret recently completed a successful 2014 season running in multiple series throughout Europe including the Caterham French Challenge, VdeV Formula Renault European Challenge, VdeV European CN Proto Challenge, and the French Historic Formula Ford cup, recording seven victories and 12 podiums.

“I have been preparing myself for two years now, with the objective to move into a high level single-seater championship in 2015,” said Buret. “After a successful 2014 season in Europe, I now feel ready to go to the next level of my racing career to show my driving skills and ambition in the very competitive Pro Mazda Championship of the Mazda Road to Indy ladder. I’m extremely honored and thankful to have the opportunity to join Juncos Racing, a champion team with great experience and a strong 2015 driver line-up. I was able to evaluate myself in the Pro Mazda car during the Chris Griffis Memorial Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this year. We identified the areas where I must progress in the car in order to battle at the front of the field, which is my ultimate goal for my Pro Mazda rookie season. I’m really excited to test at Palm Beach on January 25th for the first winter test day and to start working with all of the fantastic crew I met at Juncos Racing.”

Juncos Racing Team Owner, Ricardo Juncos, is excited to add Buret to the driver line-up after his impressive test in the Pro Mazda series at the Chris Griffis Memorial Test and looks forward to developing him in the next level in his racing career.

“Timothé tested with us at the Chris Griffis Memorial Test and immediately impressed us,” said Juncos. “Considering he was one of the only drivers who hadn’t driven a Pro Mazda car or at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, he performed extraordinarily well. We look forward to adding to Timothé’s already impressive career.”

Buret’s racing career began in 2011 running karts in the French Regional championship. From there Buret competed throughout France in the National French championship, Kart Mag Trophee, and National Series Karting. In 2013 Buret competed with the Caterham French Challenge, VdeV Formula Renualt European Challenge, and VdeV European Endurance CN Proto Challenge, recording a total of four victories and 10 podiums.

The 2015 Pro Mazda Championship kicks off with the Cooper Tires Winterfest Championship on the 2.75 mile, 16-turn road course at NOLA Motorsports Park February 19-20 in Avondale, Louisiana. For more information, please visit juncosracing.com.
