As one of the series’ youngest drivers, 17-year-old Jose Gutierrez will compete in the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires with Juncos Racing.

Competing as Argentina’s first female driver to race in the United States, 21-year-old Julia Ballario makes her debut this year in the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires. In addition to paving the road for other Argentinian female drivers, Ballario also makes another “first” in becoming Juncos Racing’s first Argentinian driver.

After a two day private test at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans last week, paralyzed racer Michael Johnson headed to Barber Motorsport Park for the third annual Chris Griffis Memorial Mazda Road to Indy Test.

Rising Star Racing officials announced its inaugural class of drivers on Thursday at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Indianapolis as Josef Newgarden, 22 of Hendersonville, Tenn., Neil Alberico, 21 of Los Gatos, Calif., and Spencer Pigot, 20, of Orlando, Fla., have been selected to represent Rising Star Racing beginning with the upcoming 2014 racing season.

Juncos Racing’s strong performance this week at Barber Motorsports Park showed they are ready for a promising 2014 season in the Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires.
