Success continues for Neil Alberico during his rookie campaign of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires. The Mazda Road to Indy driver contested Rounds Eight and Nine of the season at the Allied Building Products Pro Mazda Grand Prix of Houston Presented by Marlin CNG Services.

Dallas-based M1 Racing hoped for better results when the Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires made its only visit this year to the Lone Star state, but it was an up-and-down weekend for the team and its rookie driver, Felipe Donato.

Juncos Racing picked up their fifth win of the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires with driver Spencer Pigot winning Round 9 of the Allied Building Products Pro Mazda Grand Prix of Houston Presented by Marlin CNG Services at NRG Park. Teammate Julia Ballario scored her best finish in the Pro Mazda Championship finishing Round 8 in fourth position. Juncos Racing continues to hold onto the lead of the Pro Mazda Championship.

Rising Star Racing drivers Spencer Pigot and Neil Alberico stamped their names on the Grand Prix of Houston with authority as the two drivers combined for a 1-2 finish in Pro Mazda Presented by Cooper Tires competition on Sunday. The race, which was the second round of a two-race weekend, was staged ahead of the Verizon IndyCar Series race in blistering Houston heat.

A dramatic weekend at the MD Anderson Cancer Center Speedway at NRG Park ended with another dominant victory this afternoon for Spencer Pigot and Juncos Racing and an extended lead in the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.
