The runaway leader in this year’s Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires was forced to run a fresh SpeedSource Mazda rotary engine in his #83 MAZDASPEED/Team Andretti Autosport entry after his engine was collected for a routine verification yesterday evening. It made no difference as the 19-year-old from Boca Raton, Fla., once again won convincingly this morning in the second leg of the Allied Building Products Grand Prix of Toronto.

Matthew Brabham showed no mercy to his rivals in this morning’s Allied Building Products Grand Prix of Toronto, the seventh round of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires. The runaway championship leader made his usual exemplary start from the pole in the #83 MAZDASPEED/Team Andretti Autosport entry and never looked back en route to his sixth successive victory.

The streets of Toronto, Ont., Canada will play host to Rounds 7 and 8 of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires this weekend, with the Allied Building Products Grand Prix of Toronto comprising a pair of 30-minute races as part of the action-filled Honda Indy Toronto.

This evening’s sixth round of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, held over 90 laps at the historic Milwaukee Mile, proved to be a virtual carbon copy of the previous oval race at Lucas Oil Raceway. Series leader Matthew Brabham, from Boca Raton, Fla., qualified his #83 MAZDASPEED/Team Andretti Autosport entry comfortably on the pole and then ran away to a dominant victory.

The Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires prepares for the second and final oval race of its 2013 season this week, joining the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights at the Milwaukee IndyFest for Round Six of the 16-race schedule. Three days of track action will commence this Thursday at the historic Milwaukee Mile oval circuit located in West Allis, Wis., with testing for the second and third levels of the Mazda Road to Indy.
