    The second event on the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires calendar this past weekend (March 23-24) proved to be a experience building affair for JDC MotorSports. As part of the IndyCar Series season-opener in St. Petersburg, Fla., the talented foursome of Nick Andries, Zack Meyer, Juan Piedrahita, and Lloyd Read showcased their racecraft on the challenging street circuit, but emerged without the results desired. The Minnesota-based squad, however, is poised to make the most of the knowledge gained to fight for top honors when the action resumes in late May with the opening oval event.

    Kyle Kaiser and the World Speed team travelled to St. Petersburg Florida this past weekend to contest rounds three and four of the Pro Mazda Championship. The 1.8 mile track marked the first street course for Kyle, currently the youngest racer in the Pro Mazda field.

    Team Pelfrey traveled the few miles from its shop in Clearwater to the Allied Building Products Grand Prix of St. Petersburg with high expectations after winning on the demanding 1.8-mile, 14-turn street circuit in each of the past two years. Unfortunately, both Spencer Pigot and Petri Suvanto struggled to find front-running pace in their pair of Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires entries and had to be content with two fourth-place finishes.
