AVONDALE, La. – Turn 3 Motorsport is set to return to the track this weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana, for Rounds 3, 4 and 5 of the 2025 USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship. The 2.74-mile, 13-turn road course will host the series' first tripleheader event of the season following the exciting season opener last month on the streets of St. Petersburg.
Coming off a strong opening round, the team looks to carry forward the pace and potential shown at the start of this season.
Turn 3 Motorsport will field a three-car lineup this weekend with Alessandro de Tullio in the #44 Astropay car, Tyke Durst in the #33 Freight Handlers Inc./Relay Payments/Drive Toward a Cure car and Cooper Becklin in the #2 Helmet House car.
Turn 3 Motorsport kicked off the 2025 season with a strong showing in St. Petersburg, where Alessandro de Tullio scored a dominant pole position and victory in Race 1, continuing the team’s streak of four consecutive season-opening poles and wins at the Florida street circuit. De Tullio also topped the timesheets during Spring Training at NOLA Motorsports Park and will look to carry that form into this weekend’s tripleheader.
Teammates Tyke Durst and Cooper Becklin also showed promising pace in the opening round. Despite a tough run in Race 2, Durst showed speed in Race 1 and is focused on building consistency and making forward progress throughout his sophomore season. Becklin, who showed solid pace in his first appearance on a street circuit by earning a P6 finish in Race 1, is eager to capitalize on the upcoming road course format, aiming for strong finishes across all three races.
#2 Cooper Becklin // USF Pro 2000 Helmet House
"I’m super excited to come back to NOLA this weekend,” said Becklin. “Now having a race under my belt with Turn 3 and fully understanding the car, I can’t wait to get on track and show what the car can do. I’m also looking forward to getting some good track time here and to see the differences between previous cars I’ve driven here. Hopefully we can pull out some great results for the team!”
#33 Tyke Durst // USF Pro 2000 Freight Handlers Inc. / Relay Payments / Drive Toward a Cure
“Being born from just up river and having spent so much time here New Orleans almost feels like an adopted home,” said Durst. “That spent time testing here has certainly prepared me for this weekend, and I can’t wait to get started. I’ve worked hard after a bitter season opening in St. Pete training as much as I could in between a busy Junior year spring semester here in Charlotte. Stringing together some strong finishes here at NOLA and getting points on the board will be critical for our season, so I look forward to putting my best foot forward here in the bayou.”
#44 Alessandro de Tullio // USF Pro 2000 Astropay
“I’m looking forward to the triple header this weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park,” said de Tullio. There are a lot of points up for grabs considering it is three races which will be quite demanding. We were strong at this track in all the tests and put down many laps here, so I’m feeling confident and ready to get after it this weekend.”
Event festivities kick off tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, with pre-event testing. On Friday, teams will take to the track for practice and the first of two qualifying sessions. Saturday will feature the second round of qualifying followed by Race 1, with the weekend culminating in Races 2 and 3 on Sunday.
