American Spencer Pigot and Canadian Scott Hargrove will continue their battle for supremacy in the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires at the Cooper Tires Pro Mazda Grand Prix on August 1-3. After nine races and with five rounds remaining, the pair are separated by just 17 points prior to this weekend’s twin bill of 40-minute races at the 2.258-mile, 13-turn Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Lift, who has raced at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course under Formula Mazda trim as a part of the SCCA Majors tour, is on a steep learning curve, not only relearning braking points as part of a new car, but sizing up the competition.

JDC drivers Michael Johnson and Ryan Booth are all ready to make their Pro Mazda debuts at the world-renowned racetrack, which presents a supreme challenge with its undulating characteristics, while Kyle Connery will return to the facility where he made his series debut in 2013.

Carlos Conde, the 2010 Star Mazda Masters-class champion, will drive a M1 Racing-prepared #23 in this weekend's doubleheader for the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

While Furuseth looks to continue his climb up the Mazda Road to Indy ladder in the future, his only goal right now is finding success this weekend when he and the Jay Motorsports team race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car course.
