    Juncos Racing proved to be the strongest team among the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires field this week during the series official test at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Garett Grist topped the speed charts while teammates José Gutiérrez, Will Owen, and Timothé Buret rounded out the top five. Nicholas Dapero made his debut in the Pro Mazda series piloting a fifth car for Juncos Racing.

  • Michael Johnson Returns To On-Track Activity Three Months After Crash

    American paralyzed racer Michael Johnson officially wrapped up a three-month rehabilitation from injuries sustained from a practice incident in March, to resurface for a Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires test at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course earlier this week.

  • JDC MotorSports Duo Battles Through Road to Indy Events

    Florida’s Kyle Connery avoided a wild opening lap accident to take sixth in the first Pro Mazda Championship race of the weekend, and he backed this up with a solid tenth in Race 2 to record a pair of top-10s. Fellow JDC MotorSports pilot Parker Thompson was quick in his USF2000 Championship entry, but he got caught up in the mid-pack chaos in both races after a minor qualifying miscue mired him deep in the field.

  • Two Podiums for O’Ward as Urrutia Extends Points Lead

    Team Pelfrey enjoyed a productive weekend in Canada as the Mazda Road to Indy ventured to the streets of Toronto, Ont., Canada, in conjunction with the Verizon IndyCar Series. Young Mexican Pato O’Ward claimed a pair of podium finishes – his first in the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires – while Uruguay’s Santi Urrutia extended his championship lead to 30 points following a pair of top-five results.
