WESTFIELD, Ind. – Coming out of a long break for the USF Pro Championship drivers, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM) is ready to finally get back on track. On May 11-13, Jack William Miller, driver of the #40 USF Pro 2000 Patterson Dental-branded car, will take on the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway Grand Prix Circuit, the site of multiple podium results in the past.
The last time the USF Pro 2000 driver was on track was back in March for rounds three and four at Sebring International Raceway. The old airport base saw plenty of position changes and carnage among the grid during race two where Miller was able to avoid the trouble, securing a sixth-place finish, and earned the Hard Charger Award for the fourth round of the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires.
The famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway feels like home for the Westfield, Indiana-based Miller Vinatieri Motorsport. The Speedway has also been the site for a collection of podiums for the MVM program in recent seasons, as well as two pole positions during the 2022 event weekend.
“The Speedway holds a place very close to everyone in the sport but especially to our team because of our long-standing roots in the area,” expressed Jack Miller, co-owner of Miller Vinatieri Motorsports and owner of the multi-office Indy Dental Group. “This is our first of two Indy-based events this month, and I know we are ready to go.”
This coming event doesn't follow the standard Friday to Sunday schedule. Instead, the event starts on Thursday with two test sessions followed by the only official practice session for the weekend. Qualifying and race one will occur on Friday with race two concluding the weekend Saturday, just prior to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
“We are very excited that it’s May and finally be back on track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” added Jack William Miller. “We are looking forward to being back in the car and using the knowledge we gained over the break during our events this weekend.”
