15-mile drive to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Competing in the first of two events in the Indianapolis area, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM) will take on the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this coming weekend. Running alongside the complete Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires program as well as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Jack William Miller will pilot the #40 entry in Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires while Kent Vaccaro will be in the #16 machine in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship.
“It is definitely our favorite time of the year, May in Indy,” explained Jack Miller, who co-owns the MVM program with former NFL superstar Adam Vinatieri. “Our next two events are only 15 miles from our shop. We have a huge partner base in the Indianapolis area and look forward to welcoming several of them to events throughout the month.”
With two event weekends behind them at the Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama and the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg, Florida, Miller Vinatieri Motorsports is looking forward to being back home again in Indiana where last year they showed great pace and stood on the podium in USF2000.
Miller continued, “The Indy events are the ones on the calendar that we circle and look forward to. It will be a good reset for us, and we will look to build off our podium results last season at both the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the only oval on the schedule, Lucas Oil Raceway, where we will compete later this month.”
While the first two event weekends of the season were double-headers, the Indy Grand Prix features the first triple-header event of the season.
