CARMEL, Ind. – Fresh off a pole position and podium result at the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Jack William Miller and Miller Vinatieri Motorsports are headed to the longest circuit on the schedule, Road America, a 14-turn, 4.048-mile natural terrain road course, where Miller is looking to better his podium performance from one year ago.
“We left Road America with a podium result last season and my goal is to not only repeat that performance, but better it this weekend,” said Miller. “A huge thank you to Alan Miller, the founder of Blue Marble Productions, and Patterson Dental for all of their support, and I am looking forward to the opportunity of celebrating on the podium again this year.”
For the first time this season, Jack William Miller and Blue Marble Productions’ Alan Miller will be sharing the track at the same venue. With Jack competing in the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires, Alan will do battle in the Radical Cup North America program.
Miller’s most recent event saw him earn the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires pole position before standing on the podium during the famed Carb Night Classic on Indy 500 weekend.
Miller continued, “Road America will be interesting this year as it is freshly paved and all the reports we have heard is that it is quite a bit faster. Testing there earlier in the year, this will be our first time on the new asphalt.”
In a jam-packed weekend that features the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Miller and his #40 Patterson Dental / Blue Marble entry will hit the track Thursday for a pair of test sessions. Friday will feature the one and only official practice before qualifying for race one. Qualifying for race two will take place on Saturday morning with the first wheel-to-wheel action taking place that afternoon and race two rolling off the grid Sunday morning.
