WESTFIELD, Ind. – Jay Howard Racing Development is excited to announce the addition of Marcos Flack to the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires lineup for the last two events on this season’s Road to Indy, starting with this weekend’s VP Racing Fuels Oval Challenge of St. Louis at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Making his motorsports debut in bambino karts at the age of 5, the Brisbane, Australia native excelled in karting, winning multiple regional and series championships before becoming the youngest driver to ever compete in the World Series of Karting. After capturing the Australian Karting National Championship in 2018, Flack’s eyes turned to single-seater racing, and following a packed karting program in 2019 that included WSK, ROK and CIK FIA Championship appearances, he made the jump to cars in 2021. He found success almost immediately, scoring three podiums in his maiden season in British Formula 4, while also competing in the ADAC and Italian F4 Championships. Flack took another step forward this season, competing in the 2022 GB3 Championship, partnered by the BRDC, and scoring his first win in the series in dominant fashion at Silverstone a few weekends ago.

Flack is looking to take the United States by storm while working with Jay Howard Driver Development.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to come race in the Road to Indy with a front-running team like Jay Howard Driver Development. I am looking forward to make my USA racing debut at Gateway. Ovals are a new discipline for me, and I think I will be able to learn a lot.”

Team owner Jay Howard is hoping to keep up Flack's winning momentum following his recent GB3 success.

“I am looking forward to watching Marcos in action. He’s coming off a really impressive win at Silverstone in GB3 and I am optimistic for his Indy Pro 2000 program. The Gateway oval race will be a new challenge for him and we are all looking forward to it.”

Flack’s first chance to hop into the JHDD Indy Pro 2000 machine will come this weekend, Aug. 19-20, at World Wide Technology Raceway. The Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship side of the stable rejoins the Road to Indy two weeks later for the season finale in Portland on Sep. 1-4.
