CARMEL, Ind. – Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) closed the USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires championship season last weekend at the Circuit of The Americas and will do the same this weekend for both its USF Pro 2000 and USF2000 campaigns. The Carmel, Ind.-based team will enter a pair of USF Pro 2000 drivers and four USF2000 drivers in the 2023 finale at the famed Portland International Raceway.

Returning to the USF Pro 2000 stable will be Ricardo Escotto alongside Frankie Mossman who will take part in his second event weekend as he prepares for a 2024 campaign. In USF2000, JHDD stalwarts Lochie Hughes, Evagoras Papasavvas and Al Morey will be joined by Ava Dobson who will make her series debut in the #9 machine. Coming into the weekend, Lochie Hughes sits second in the championship point battle while Papasavvas is fifth.

“It’s a long trek to Portland but we are excited to finish the season strong with six cars,” said Jay Howard. “Our 2024 driver lineup is coming together quite nicely, and we should be able to start announcing some of those competitors next week, but our focus is 100 percent on Portland and finishing the season strong.”

Escotto and Mossman both earned top-10 finishes in challenging conditions this past weekend at the famed Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. With heat indexes well above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, track conditions were difficult in the blazing Texas sun. In the USF Juniors program, Hudson Potter, Aiden Potter and Dane Scott all gained valuable experience as they prepare for their 2024 season.

Howard continued, “It was good to get some running with our USF Juniors cars. We have some good data and a plan on what we need to do going into our winter test program and onwards into the next season.”
