Liam McNeilly sweeps in USF Juniors; team grabs two additional wins

CARMEL, Ind. – This weekend, USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire traveled to the Pacific Northwest to finish the 2024 season at Portland International Raceway. Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) had a strong showing with five wins across three series, including a sweep of the weekend in USF Juniors.

In USF Juniors, Liam McNeilly led the charge for Jay Howard Driver Development, winning all three races to sweep the weekend. G3 Argyros scored an additional podium finish for the team, grabbing third place in race three. Timothy Carel brought home a top-10 finish of eighth in race two. JT Hoskins and Griffin Yellin finished just outside the top 10 in race one, crossing the finish line in 11th and 12th.

“Winning all three races this weekend to close out the season in USF Juniors is incredible,” Team Owner Jay Howard stated. “Liam had a great weekend to end the season, and with those three wins, he secured second in the championship. G3 had a great result in race three too, and all of our drivers raced well this weekend, especially considering they’re all rookies.”

In USF2000, Jay Howard Driver Development brought home two wins to end the season, with Michael Costello scoring his first USF2000 win in race one and Argyros capturing his first win in race three. Papasavvas had a consistent weekend to close out the year, scoring a pair of top-10 finishes.

“It was great to score two more wins to end the USF2000 season, and it was special to see Michael grab his first USF2000 win and G3 to win his first race in the USF Pro Championships program,” Howard expressed. “Evagoras had a solid weekend, and he could’ve been in the fight for a podium or win in the last race, but contact ended his day early, unfortunately. It is pretty cool to be the only team to have all four cars in USF2000 win a race this year. We were also the only team to win on an oval, street course and road course; it really has been a successful season for the team”

Frankie Mossman led the way for Jay Howard Driver Development in USF Pro 2000, scoring a podium in race one and a sixth-place finish in race two. Tanner DeFabis, making his USF Pro 2000 debut, finished ninth in race one.

“Frankie’s been quick all season, even when the results haven’t shown it, so it was great to see him score a podium in race one,” Howard said. “It was great to have Tanner join us for his USF Pro 2000 debut, and he showed strong pace, scoring a top-10 finish in his first Pro 2000 race.”

With the 2024 season now in the books, JHDD shifts to its test program as they prepare for the 2025 season. Stay tuned for driver announcements coming soon.
