Speedway, Ind. – Abel Motorsports and driver Jacob Abel are heading in to Rounds 5, 6 and 7 of the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires this weekend at the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Coming off a strong Race Two on the streets of St. Petersburg, Abel is looking to carry that momentum into its home race in Indianapolis. 20-year-old Jacob Abel has experience on the 14-turn road course, scoring a pair of top-10 finishes at the circuit in 2019.

“I am pumped to get back in the Indy Pro 2000 car. It’s always special racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May. We have had some experience here in the past, but it’s been a couple of years so we look forward to building on the foundation we have and hopefully getting some good results,” said Abel.

Currently sitting ninth in the championship points battle, Abel and the No. 51 Abel Construction/Crosley Brands team are hoping to make up ground over the course of the three-race weekend and set themselves up for a strong string of races heading into the summer.

The action picks up this weekend with qualifying and Race One on Friday, followed by Race Two and Three on Saturday.
