Los Angeles – 1,398 stairs and over 63 stories conquered,
TJ Fischer stopped at the top of the Aon Center building in downtown Los Angeles celebrating with fellow participants in the annual Fight For Air Climb, an endurance event organized by the American Lung Association in California.
The 23-year-old Vacaville, Calif.-native and current resident of nearby Westwood, Calif., led the #Race2TheRescue team to the top of the 858-foot skyscraper. “What an unbelievable journey,” said an exhausted Fischer. “To be in the heart of Los Angeles and climbing with friends, family and hundreds of others affected by lung disease is such a powerful message to others out there.”
Fischer raced on behalf of
Project O2’s #Race2TheRescue, a campaign that vows to inform, inspire, and innovate a new path to asthma awareness. Overall, The Fight For Air Climb event raised more than $209,306.56.
Fischer’s Project O2 campaign continues as the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires heads to the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 11-13. The non-profit organization will have an activation space at the speedway where fans can learn more about asthma.
