BELMONT, N.C. – USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire traveled to the Pacific Northwest this weekend for the final two championship rounds at fast and flat Portland International Raceway. Danny Dyszelski, driving for the championship-winning Turn 3 Motorsport, had a solid end to his rookie season, scoring a pair of top-10 finishes. 

After a test day on Thursday, Dyszelski was immediately on the pace in practice, setting the seventh-fastest time. His strong form continued in qualifying, where he set the sixth-quickest time and earned himself a third-row starting position for race one. 

In race one Friday evening, Dyszelski battled hard in the top 10 throughout the race in wet conditions, ultimately finishing seventh, crossing under the checkered flag just two-tenths behind his teammate and newly crowned champion Lochie Hughes. In a race that featured the use of wet-weather Continental tires, the heavy downpours kept things interesting all race long.

“We had some good battles throughout the race, but we weren’t really able to move forward,” Dyszelski said. “Still, the car was quick in the wet, and I’m excited to see what we can do tomorrow to close out the season.”

Starting 11th in race two on Saturday, Dyszelski was able to move forward throughout the race, ultimately  finishing eighth. 

“Overall, it was a good race today,” Dyszelski expressed. “We were able to move forward to score another top-10 finish, which is a solid way to end the season. A huge thank you to everyone at Turn 3 Motorsport for all their hard work this season and for giving me a quick car again this weekend.”
