MUNDELEIN, Ill. – Turn 3 Motorsport is pleased to announce that Tyke Durst will return to the championship-winning team for the 2025 USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire. Building on the foundation laid during his rookie campaign in 2024, Durst is eager to make further strides in his sophomore season with the team.

In his debut season, the 21-year-old showcased steady growth, achieving a season-high race result of 10th place at Road America and earning his best qualifying position of 10th during the season finale in Portland. The upcoming year offers Durst the opportunity to capitalize on his experience, further develop his skills, and aim for consistent top-10 finishes in the highly competitive series.

“Returning home to Turn 3 Motorsport for a second year in USF Pro 2000 means a lot to me,” said Durst. “I am grateful for all the support shown by everyone on this team. From the mechanics who keep us running to the Dempseys who orchestrate this family and everyone in between, this team has been nothing but great.”

“Our debut last year was challenging, but I knew it would be with my limited experience,” continued Durst. “Driving in one of the most competitive open-wheel series has taught me a lot though. My focus this year is on consistently performing at my best and not getting frustrated or downtrodden at mistakes or bad luck, but rather on building momentum and taking advantage of every opportunity given to me. That is what will provide us with success this year. There is still gas in my tank on the road to the greatest spectacle in racing, and I can’t wait to burn it on track this year.”

Durst’s journey into motorsport is an inspiring story of passion and perseverance; despite entering the racing world later than most of his peers, a life-changing gift from his parents — a three-day Skip Barber Racing School experience — ignited a deep commitment to the sport. Since then, Durst has rapidly climbed the motorsport ladder, competing in the F4 U.S. Championship before making the leap to USF Pro 2000 in 2024.

“It’s great to have Tyke returning for a second season with us,” said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. “I know he learned a lot though the 2024 season, especially being able to watch and learn from Lochie (Hughes). He saw what it takes to fight for a championship, how to be patient when it’s needed, and how to maximize results when the opportunity presents itself which will be so important for him this year. The team will be pulling for him so that he can have the most successful season possible.”

“Tyke was a pleasure to have in the team last year, and we are all looking forward to working with him again in 2025,” continued Dempsey. “Now we are fully focused on our preparation for the upcoming tests and races to make sure Tyke is ready to fight starting at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.”

Durst will once again pilot the #33 FHI / Relay Payments / Drive Toward a Cure car for Turn 3 Motorsport as the team sets its sights on another competitive season. The 2025 USF Pro 2000 Championship consists of eight events and 18 races across North America, with the season opener set for February 28-March 2 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
