Danny Dyszelski proved he can fight at the front of the USF Pro 2000 field

BELMONT, N.C.
– The USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire contingent traveled to Louisiana this past weekend for an action-packed weekend at the ultra-fast NOLA Motorsports Park. Turn 3 Motorsport driver Danny Dyszelski battled through a triple header to earn a pair of top-10 results, including a fourth-place result in race one, narrowly missing the USF Pro 2000 podium.

After a busy Friday that included three test sessions and a single official practice session, Dyszelski and the rest of the USF Pro 2000 field took to the track Saturday for two qualifying sessions and the first race of the weekend. In qualifying one, Dyszelski set the 12th-fastest time while in qualifying two, the Turn 3 Motorsport driver qualified 16th after a major gearbox failure which put a lot of stress on the team to get everything replaced and repaired for the rest of the weekend.

In race one of the weekend on Saturday afternoon, Dyszelski drove forward to a fourth-place finish after starting 12th, narrowly missing the third and final step on the podium.

“Our performance in race one showed we can fight at the front of the field even when we don’t have the best starting position,” Dyszelski said. “This is a good start to our three-race event this weekend, and I will be looking for more in races two and three.”

Dyszelski’s race two came to an early end after he got caught up in a lap one incident and was unable to continue. In the final wheel-to-wheel of the weekend, Dyszelski managed to move forward in the field once again, driving from 14th on the grid to cross the finish line in eighth.

Dyszelski continued, “Overall it was a tough weekend after qualifying further down in the field than we should have, but we still managed to get a pair of solid results when we could. We will learn from this weekend and move forward, and now our attention turns to Indianapolis.”

Dyszelski will jump in a USF Pro 2000 car again at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for rounds six, seven and eight of the season during the famed Indy Grand Prix event over the May 9-11 weekend and the official kick-off to the famed Month of May in Indianapolis. Prior to the Indy Grand Prix, Dyszelski will compete in the second event weekend of the Radical Cup North America program at Barber Motorsports Park alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and then the SRO Americas GT4 America event at the Sebring International Raceway.
