Dawsonville, GA – VRD Racing is excited to announce that Nico Christodoulou will be stepping up from USF2000 to USF Pro 2000, starting at the next race at Road America on June 6-9. This move marks a significant milestone in Nico’s racing career and aligns with VRD Racing’s ongoing commitment to developing young talent.
Christodoulou, who has demonstrated impressive skill and speed throughout his time in USF2000, expressed mixed emotions about the transition.
“I’m gutted to step away from USF2000,” said Nico. “We had a super fast car and a genuine chance at the championship, but circumstances out of my control have brought about this new opportunity and I’m looking forward to the new challenge. VRD Racing is my racing family, and I want to show what I’m capable of and help them bring home both championships.”
VRD Racing’s Dan Mitchell commented on Nico’s move to USF Pro 2000: “Nico has the full support of VRD Racing. He’s shown outstanding speed in the USF Pro 2000 car every time he’s driven it. It’s a shame to see him step away from USF2000, but Nikita will be grateful to have a teammate, and I expect Nico to play a key part in our championship fight for the remainder of the season.”
Christodoulou’s promotion to USF Pro 2000 comes at a crucial time as VRD Racing intensifies its efforts to secure top positions in both driver and team championships within the USF Pro 2000 category. Nico brings experience and pace to the Pro 2000 side of the team while developing his skills in more advanced machinery.
