Three driver team heads North for the start of the Month of May
After a strong start to the season, the Florida-based team will head to the home of American racing, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Competing in USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire, BN Racing will enter a trio of drivers with the addition of Artie Flores in the 78 car.
After returning to the series, the team has made an impressive start to the USF Pro 2000 season with an almost podium finish at St. Petersburg for Ricardo Escotto. The form continued at NOLA with newcomer Nico Baptiste fastest in testing and Qualifying 2, with both cars in the top six in two races.
Heading to IMS the team aims to build on the strong start to the season.
‘’We’ve definitely surprised a few people at the start of the season and were obviously hoping to continue building on that for IMS and the rest of the year,” explained team owner Bryn Nuttall. “It’s been a challenge to start the team again so late, but it’s a testament to the people and drivers in the team for what we’ve done so far.”
Escotto, who won in the rain at IMS last year, will be hoping for more success and to build on his solid start to the 2024 season. Baptiste, who hadn’t driven the car prior to Spring Training at NOLA, will have yet another track to learn whilst trying to get to the top of the timesheets like he did at NOLA.
BN Racing will welcome Artie Flores from Mexico to IMS. He will pilot the 78 car from now until the end of the season with the exception of Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and Toronto.
”Its great to welcome Artie to the team," said Nuttall. "To have a complete three-car team now proves we are going about things the right way and hopefully he can benefit from having two good teammates in Ricardo and Nico."
