Elkhart Lake, Wis. – Abel Motorsports is ready to tackle the 14-turn road course at Road America for Rounds 9 and 10 of the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires Championship.
Jacob Abel has previous experience at Road America, running in the first rung of the Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires ladder, the Cooper Tires USF2000 Series. Abel ran strong in 2018 to bring home a top 10 finish and gain valuable track knowledge.
After a promising end to the Freedom 90 at Lucas Oil Raceway several weeks ago, the No. 51 Abel Construction/Crosley Brands team are looking forward to the weekend at Road America.
“We had pace at Lucas Oil Raceway and we really came on at the end so I’m excited to head to Road America. I think we have a good number of races under our belt as a team, and we’re really clicking as a team. I really like Road America and how technical it is, and I think with the team’s knowledge and experience we are set up to have a great weekend,” said Jacob Abel.
The weekend gets underway officially on June 18th with practice and qualifying for race 1, followed by qualifying for race 2 and then race 1 on the June 19th. The final race of the weekend takes place on the 20th, with all of the action happening live on the Road to Indy TV app.
