Abel Motorsports and driver Jacob Abel are headed to the Sunshine State this weekend with the Indy Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires championship, for Rounds 3 and 4 on the Streets of St. Petersburg.
Abel Motorsports is excited to build on the momentum the team gained from Barber Motorsports Park and apply it this weekend on the Streets of St. Petersburg. The team has had success in St. Petersburg by sweeping the weekend back in 2019 with current team driver coach, Parker Thompson.
Driver of the No. 51 Abel Construction/Crosley Brands car, Jacob Abel heads into the weekend tied for fifth in the championship hunt and is excited to get up to speed this weekend.
“I’m really looking forward to this weekend and building on the progress that we made last weekend at Barber. The St. Pete weekend is always very compressed and rewards getting up to speed quickly which, as a driver, is always a fun challenge. We’ll be looking to improve on our results from last week and will be looking for the podium,” said Abel.
Abel Motorsports gets underway on the 14-turn street course on April 23 with practice and qualifying for Race 1. April 24 has the final qualifying session, along with the first of two races with the final race taking place on April 25. Follow along all weekend by giving Abel Motorsports a follow on social media.
