Race-winning junior formula race team BN Racing will end a four-year hiatus when it returns to the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire ranks with a planned three-car squad in USF Pro 2000 for 2024. The Florida-based team will begin its comeback by entering up-and-coming racer Ricardo Escotto, from Mexico City, Mexico, in the series open test at Sebring International Raceway on December 11/12.
BN Racing is led by team principal Bryn Nuttall, whose extensive motorsports experience includes roles as a manager, driver coach, mechanic, engineer and engine specialist.
After a partial campaign in USF2000 in 2017, BN expanded to USF Pro 2000 in 2018 and then INDY NXT in 2019, claiming race wins and podiums in all three levels.
“After few years away from the grid, I’m delighted to have my team back for the 2024 season,” said Nuttall. “The plan is to field a strong three-car lineup in the USF Pro 2000 category, and the goal is to start from where we left off, being at the front and challenging for top honors.
“Everything has happened pretty quickly, but we will field one car at the Sebring Continental Tire test and then after that, prepare a proper winter test program. We’re looking forward to the first race already. Being on a new tire will hopefully mix things up and the challenge of something new has always been something we have excelled at in the past.”
BN Racing will conduct an intensive Florida-based pre-season testing plan in between the holidays and the opening race event of the 2024 season on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla., on March 8-10.
