Matthew Brabham, Team Andretti Autosport , No. 83

Brabham captured his first Pro Mazda Championship victory today at the 3.427-mile road course in Austin, Texas. He started the 12-lap race from the third position, made an early advancement to the front of the field and recorded lap times faster than yesterday's pole-position time.

"What a fantastic race! It feels great to be on the top step of the podium. We managed to find the speed we had all through testing leading up to the race and the car was awesome in the race. The team worked hard over night and we tried a few things in the warm up today. We kept the changes, and they really worked well for us in the race. I got a good start and made a challenge for the lead into the first corner and managed to slip through on the inside."

Shelby Blackstock, Team Starstruck, No. 28

Coming off of a disappointment in yesterday's Race 1, Blackstock charged from behind today to capture his first Pro Mazda Championship podium. The Nashville native started from the eighth grid position and finished third after running a majority of the race in the second-position.

"Today went a lot better than yesterday! We had a awesome start and went from ninth to second in the first turn. After that we were doing really good until I didn't get it into second (gear) in Turn 15 and bogged down on the exit and Diego (Ferreira) was able to get by. All in all happy with the podium and I want to thank Andretti Autosport and Mazda for a great race weekend."
