Sonoma, Calif. -- The GoPro Grand Prix at Sonoma Raceway is this weekend, and World Speed Motorsports is supporting five racers at their home track for the Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires season finale.

Two of the racers, Joey Bickers and Alex Keyes are new to the series, and to the team. "We are excited to be running both of these young drivers this weekend," stated WSM Team Owner Telo Stewart. "They have known each other for some time and we know they are going to be good teammates for each other as well as our other drivers. We have seen and run alongside Alex all year in the FCC and know he will be quick here. We talked to Joey before he ended up in the 1600 series and we're glad to finally get to work with him, he has done really well in formula cars and sedans."

ALEX KEYES:
Keyes has locked the 2014 Pro FM class championship in the Formula Car Challenge, with nine wins in 10 races

"I am very excited to be competing in my first pro race. I'm also excited to be competing with World Speed. I already know a few members of the team well and feel ready to push for a good result this weekend. I'm also excited to have Joey as a teammate as we ran F1600 together last year and I think we can work together to achieve a strong result!"

Being that the Pro Mazda car is completely new to me, I'm sure I will have a lot to learn. I look forward working with the World Speed team, and working my hardest to get them a good result."

About the Go Pro Grand Prix of Sonoma:
The Verizon IndyCar® Series returns to the serpentine Sonoma circuit, Aug. 22-24, for the 10th annual GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma. Last Year, Will Power claimed his third Wine Country Winner's Circle appearance in the last four years, establishing his dominance of the 2.38-mile road course. As the penultimate race of the season, all bets are off, pitting rival versus rival, teammate against teammate, as the battle for the points lead reaches its peak.

There is a full weekend of racing in store, including the return of the SCCA World Challenge Series. Fans will also enjoy an expansive vendor midway, charity auction and pre-event show on Sunday, highlighted by the Patriots Jet Team Air Show.
