Birmingham, Ala. – Will Owen will compete this weekend at the Mazda Grand Prix of Alabama, Round 3 of the 2015 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, where he will look to rebound from a frustrating weekend at NOLA. The Juncos Racing driver intends to carry on momentum from the Cooper Tires Winterfest event at Barber Motorsports Park where he scored his first career Pro Mazda pole position.
After strong points finishes at the season opener at St. Petersburg, at the second round in NOLA Motorsports Park Owen had to battle from the back of the field after a spin in treacherous wet conditions and was not able to continue with his streak of top-eight finishes from the beginning of the season. But a return to Barber gives the TCU student/driver confidence as he has shown his speed at this track in the past and should be a favorite for a podium finish this weekend.

“
Round two in NOLA did not end up so well. I spun in the rain and didn’t get the result we wanted. But I’m ready to come back and do really well here this weekend at Barber. I’m trying to keep my expectations open. I know we were really good here in the Winterfest so we are just going to see what happens, but if I get some solid point finishes I will be happy.
"I know the car here is very good so it’s just going to come down to me putting the laps together and keeping myself in the right mindset.”
