Monterey, Calif. – Turn 3 Motorsport will attend this weekend’s double header season finale with the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. This will be rookie driver Antoine Comeau’s fourth and final event of the 2019 season with the goal to compete in a full season campaign in 2020.
Comeau’s highlight of the season so far was his strong showing at World Wide Technology Raceway’s 1.25-mile oval at the end of August. Though it was his first ever oval race, the Canadian started in fourth position and hung with the leaders until colliding with debris near the end of the race, damaging his front suspension and leaving him with a ninth place finish.
Most recently the team competed at Portland International Raceway’s 1.964-mile, 12-turn road course where they had a challenging weekend but gained valuable racing experience for going into the final event of the season and beyond.
“I’m looking forward to the weekend,” said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. “Hopefully we can build on what we learned at Portland and aim to close the gap to the leaders. Antoine has raced the Radical at WeatherTech Raceway before, so hopefully that will help him settle into the weekend. I have also raced and engineered at this track with Juncos Racing, so I feel that we have the knowledge within our team to guide Antoine through the weekend.”
