PITTSBORO, Ind. – TJ Speed Motorsports has entered Liam Sceats and Cooper Becklin for races 13 and 14 of USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. With the goal to finish the season strong, only six wheel-to-wheel races over three event weekends remain.
Sceats enters the weekend hungry for success while sitting fifth in the championship standings. Only 19 markers away from the driver sitting second in the championship, Sceats will push hard for maximum points to allow him to climb the rankings. Becklin, who made his series debut at Road America a few weeks ago, will build upon his consistent results, including a P9 effort in the weekend's second race.
“We have been pretty good at Mid-Ohio in the past, and I am confident that Liam can be at the front, and Cooper can earn his career-best Pro 2000 result in Ohio,” stated TJ Speed’s Tim Neff. “There are only six more races this season, and we are determined to be fighting for podium results and race wins in all of them.”
While the 2024 season is yet to be complete, TJ Speed has already been working hard on its 2025 effort. With two years in the series, race wins, podium results, pole positions and a competitive environment, TJ Speed has quickly risen to compete with the best.
Neff added, “Two years ago we were a rookie team with rookie drivers. This year we have rookie drivers and some changes, but all along the way, we have improved and been in contention Now, with two seasons under our belts, we are ready to really push for a championship in 2025 and the interest is high from drivers overseas and from the USF Pro Championships ladder programs. It’s exciting to see what the future holds.”
TJ Speed, Liam Sceats and Cooper Becklin will all be on track this Thursday for a Test Day prior to the official race weekend beginning on Friday.
