Millville, NJ – Turn 3 Motorsport will compete at New Jersey Motorsports Park this weekend in a triple-header event that will mark the penultimate round of the 2020 Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires. The 2.25-mile, 12-turn Thunderbolt Raceway is a new track experience for drivers Danial Frost and Antoine Comeau with the Indy Pro 2000 series last visiting the road course in 2010.

In preparation for the event, the team participated in a two-day test after the last round to familiarize themselves with the northeastern circuit and get a good feel going into the Cooper Tires Indy Pro 2000 Grand Prix at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

18-year-old Frost is going into this weekend after a prominent performance at Mid-Ohio at the beginning of September where he earned his first Cooper Tires Pole Award of the season and landed on the second step of the podium in Race 1. The #68 DENJET driver is currently fourth in the championship with only 15 points separating spots two through four, and with two qualifying sessions and three races on the schedule, there are plenty of points up for grabs that could shuffle the standings yet again.

“New Jersey Motorsports Park has a unique character with a series of fast corners and very high tire degradation which makes it very important to save them when it comes to the long runs,” said Frost. “I’ve been recharging my energy since the last round at Mid-Ohio and look forward to this weekend to see how the team and I do. I think we had a really good test when we were here a couple weeks back, and I think that we’re going to be strong this weekend. Our goal is to stay on our plan and focus to get the highest position possible. I’m very excited to see how our performance will be compared to the other teams.”

Teammate Comeau has continued to improve his on-track ability throughout the year, achieving seven top-ten results and delivering impressive drives alongside his competitors. For the #3 ACR / Eastern driver, the goal is to channel that tenacity into taking the fight closer to the front in the final two rounds of the season.

“It was great to get some track time at New Jersey Motorsports Park a couple of weeks ago to prepare for this weekend,” said Comeau. “It looks like there won’t be many passing zones and qualifying will be very important, so a lot of our focus will be on qualifying performance. I’m looking forward to getting there and seeing what we can do.”

“This weekend is going to be very challenging with the condensed schedule,” said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. “It’s going to be very intense with three sessions every day starting with testing on Friday. It will be very important for the team to be on top of everything in order for us to perform at the highest level to help Danial and Antoine deliver the best results possible for our team. We had a solid test here a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully we can use what we learned from the test to be strong this weekend. We’ve developed the car a little more since then and are confident we are going to have a good package for our drivers.”
