Mexican pilot ‘back on-track’ with Road to Indy after medical diagnosis

The battle for this year’s Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires – and the Mazda scholarship package to graduate to Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires in 2017 – heats up this weekend at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala. A pair of Mazda North American Operations Presents the Pro Mazda Grand Prix of Alabama races will comprise Rounds Three and Four of the 16-race schedule.

Cooper Tire and Mazda are thrilled to announce the extension of their MRTI Hashtag Program that encourages drivers and teams to utilize the #MRTI and #TeamCooperTire hashtags through their social messaging on Twitter and Instagram.

The 2015 Pro Mazda reigning champions Juncos Racing took to the field with returning drivers Garett Grist and Will Owen, along with rookies Nicolas Dapero and Jake Parsons. The four car lineup picked up one Top-5 finish in back to back green flag races.
