Going into the final race of the 2014 season Juncos Racing Team Owner Ricardo Juncos feels confident his team will be prepared for a close battle for the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship.

“Continuing to keep the team focused on each race is shown through our results,” said Juncos. “We have prepared so much for each race this season and the drivers have done all they can on track even when uncontrollable circumstances have prevented them from getting the results they deserved. Each driver has grown a lot in the last 12 races and I couldn’t be more proud of the time and dedication they have put into this team. The crew has put so much hard work into this season to give each driver the best car and I cannot thank them enough. This has been one of the closest championships in the past few years so we need to keep our heads down and stay focused this weekend at Sonoma. I want to thank all of the drivers and crew for giving 100 percent each weekend, the sponsors who help make this all possible, our supporters, and families they make up Juncos Racing.”

About Juncos Racing: Ricardo Juncos, a former Formula Renault driver and son of a driver, grew up with a deep passion and desire for racing. At the age of 14, Juncos made his first steps in the racing community driving karts in Argentina. Through his success in karts Juncos was able to join the Formula Renault class competing throughout South America. After funding became difficult as many drivers experience over their career, Juncos began working for many race teams in order to continue his own racing career. During this time Juncos was able to learn all aspects of the car in and out, along with schooling in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Stationed in Buenos Aires, Argentina and headed by Ricardo Juncos, “Juncos Racing” became a full-service Formula Racing team in 1997. By 2003, the team relocated to Miami, Florida as a full-service karting team.  During the first few years in the U.S., the team picked up 19 local, regional, and national karting titles. Moving right along, Juncos Racing not only moved operations north to Indiana, but it developed into a formula open-wheel racing team in 2008. The team went into full swing, dedicating most of the time preparing drivers and crew members for the next level in racing. Following this transitional year, Juncos Racing participated in its first open-wheel series—the 2009 Star Mazda Championship. 2010 proved to be a big year for the team in the Star Mazda Championship capturing the driver championship and finishing second in the team championship. By 2012, the team’s operations expanded to include cars in the Firestone Indy Lights series and even fastest lap of the Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Juncos Racing currently operates out of Brownsburg, Indiana.
