Lexington, Ohio – Juncos Racing brought home a total of three podium finishes in the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires between Rasmus Lindh and Sting Ray Robb at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Rasmus Lindh picked up a second in Round 10 and third in Round 11 while teammate Sting Ray Robb claimed second in Round 11.

The sixth weekend of the 2019 Indy Pro 2000 Championship began with three test sessions on Thursday on the 2.258 mile, 13-Turn road course. The four-day event continued Friday with one practice session, where Rasmus Lindh (Gothenburg, Sweden) paced the field setting the fastest time overall and Sting Ray Robb (Payette, Idaho) finishing fifth. Qualifying for Round 10 ended the day for the Indy Pro 2000 field. Lindh driving the No. 10 Chicago Pneumatic/Juncos Racing car qualified second and Robb driving the No. 2 Go Out Local/Big Idaho Potato/Juncos Racing car qualified seventh.

Qualifying for Round 11 kicked off Saturday morning under warm sunny skies. Robb improved from his previous qualifying attempt to the fourth starting position. Lindh qualified sixth.

The Indy Pro 2000 field returned to the track later that day for the first race of the double header event. Lindh started second while Robb started seventh. The first of two cautions came early on Lap-2 of the 25-lap race. Robb improved his position to fifth and Lindh maintained the second spot. Robb continued to work his way through the field, running as high as second before being penalized on the final lap for avoidable contact and would have to give up one position to end the day fifth. Lindh went on to score his first podium of the weekend taking second.

Round 11 concluded the weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course the following morning. Robb started on the second row in fourth followed by Lindh in the sixth position. Once the field went to take the green flag for the 25-lap race a caution came out for contact near the back of the field. The race returned to green two laps later with Lindh moving up to fourth and Robb to third. The Juncos Racing duo maintained their positions until the final caution came out with six laps to go. On the final restart both Juncos Racing cars passed their way into the Top-3 and go on to collect two podium finishes. Lindh finished third and Robb scored his fourth podium of the season taking second.

Lindh continues to lead the Indy Pro 2000 championship by 13 points.

“Overall the weekend went well, and we continue to lead the championship,” said Lindh. “We started P2 for the first race of the weekend and went on to finish second for the first race. I didn’t do as well in the second qualifying session, qualifying sixth. We were able to move up through the field during the second race to get back on the podium and collect valuable points for the championship. Every point count as the championship lead, we have is getting tighter. Thank you to my team Juncos Racing for all of their work in preparing great race cars every weekend. Also thank you to my sponsors at Chicago Pneumatic for their support.”

Robb sits fifth in the championship with five races to go.

“We came into this weekend a little bit on our back foot as we had to do an engine change during the test sessions on the first day,” said Robb. “Rasmus (Lindh) developed a great set up for us since I was not able to get much running in that day. I qualified seventh for the first race and improved during the second qualifying session to qualify fourth. In Race 1 I moved up from seventh to second, however we received a penalty at the end of the race and fell back to fifth. That was unfortunate as we had a really good race going. I took the positive momentum we gained into Race 2 the final morning. The team gave me a great car again and we ended up walking away with a second-place finish. Thank you to all of the team Juncos Racing, my sponsors Go Out Local and Big Idaho Potato for all of their support, and finally most importantly I would like to thank God. “
