CARMEL, Ind. – The USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire series heads to the Portland International Raceway (PIR) this weekend to wrap up the 2024 season. The multi-time race winning program Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) is looking to end the year strong, bringing 10 drivers across three series to the season finale.

In USF Juniors, the Jay Howard Driver Development lineup will consist of G3 Argyros, JT Hoskins, Griffin Yellin, Timothy Carel and Liam McNeilly. Last time out for the USF Juniors at Road America, Argyros led the charge for the team, scoring a second-place finish in race two. Carel also had a solid weekend, finishing in the top 10 in all three races while McNeilly battled hard at the front but had no racing luck.

“Our USF Juniors drivers have made tremendous progress throughout the season, and I’m excited to see how they can end the season this weekend,” Team Owner Jay Howard said. “We have three more chances for podiums or wins in the USF Juniors series this weekend, and I know we will have a strong finish to the year.”

In USF2000, Evagoras Papasavvas and Michael Costello will drive for Jay Howard Development, and G3 Argyros will be pulling double duty, driving in USF2000 in addition to USF Juniors. In the last USF2000 weekend on the Streets of Toronto, Papasavvas scored his second win of the year in race two, Costello brought home a tenth-place finish in race two, and G3 Argyros finished ninth in race one.

“We have some momentum in USF2000 heading into the final three rounds, coming off of a one-two finish in race two on the Streets of Toronto,” Howard added. “I’m hoping we can use that momentum to bring home some more podiums and wins to close the season.”

Frankie Mossman and Tanner DeFabis are JHDD’s entries in USF Pro 2000 this weekend. Last time out in Toronto, Mossman, the team’s only USF Pro 2000 entry for that weekend, scored a pair of top-10 finishes, coming home in eighth in race one and sixth in race two. DeFabis, who drove for the team in USF2000 earlier this season, will make his USF Pro 2000 debut in Portland.

Howard continued, “Frankie Mossman has had a solid season. He has been fast and running up front every weekend; results on paper do not reflect his pace, and he is looking to finish strong this weekend. We’re also excited to have Tanner DeFabis making his USF Pro 2000 debut with us this weekend, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do in these two races.

“Our cars have been fast in all of the USF Pro Championships series throughout the season, and I’m sure we will be quick again this weekend,” Howard concluded. “It’s just about making the most of every opportunity we get this weekend to bring home the best results possible.”

All of the Jay Howard Driver Development drivers will take to the track Thursday for a test day before Friday officially kicks off the final race weekend of the season.
