Birmingham, Ala. – Will Owen scored his best finish of the season this weekend after crossing the line in fourth position for race number two of the Mazda Grand Prix of Alabama. The rookie driver also scored a ninth-place finish during race number one and has now climbed into the top 10 in points for the Pro Mazda Presented by Cooper Tires championship.

The first race of the weekend saw Owen be part of a fierce fight for sixth position in what turned out to be the most exciting battle of the race. For the second race of the weekend the Juncos Racing driver had a great start and climbed from the eight to the fifth position, he eventually moved up to fourth and held the position up until the checkered flag, giving him the best finish of his 2015 rookie season.

Owen now prepares to go back to the Indianapolis Grand Prix where last year he scored his first career win in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, before moving up the Mazda Road to Indy Ladder to Pro Mazda.

“Just like the Winterfest, it's been an up and down weekend, but this time it ended on a good note. We had a little bit of bad luck in qualifying but we showed that we had a really good pace. Finishing ninth in the first race and then fourth in the second after a great start and some good racing ended the weekend on a fantastic note for me. I'm super excited for Indy now because this has given me a lot of momentum, its given the team a lot of momentum, and it's going to be good!"
