BELMONT, N.C. – In the penultimate race weekend of the 2024 season, USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire traveled to Canada for Rounds 15 and 16. Turn 3 Motorsport driver Danny Dyszelski showed great speed on the Streets of Toronto, earning a pole position in race one, but bad luck prevented him from bringing home the results to show for it.

In the weekend’s only practice session on Friday, Dyszelski set the 13th-quickest time. In qualifying one, he showed what he was capable of, setting the fastest time and earning the pole position for race one. Dyszelski had another solid session in qualifying two Saturday morning, earning himself an eighth-place starting position for race two.

In the first wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend, Dyszelski, who started from the inside of the front row, was involved in contact in Turn One and had to come into the pits on lap eight. Ultimately, Dyszelski was forced to retire and classified as finishing 10 laps down in 13th.

“Not the race we wanted today,” Dyszelski said. “We had the best starting position and a good car, but unfortunately, contact ended our day early. I’m confident that without that contact we could have fought for the win, but we have one more chance for a great result tomorrow so that’s what we will focus on.”

Dyszelski was involved in contact on the opening lap in race two on Sunday, and his day ended there and in the 16th position.

“Our race was over almost as soon as it began, with contact ending our day on lap one,” Dyszelski expressed. “A weekend to forget for us, which is unfortunate because the #3 machine was quick. We’ll put this weekend behind us and focus on ending the season strong in Portland.”

Dyszelski and the rest of the USF Pro 2000 competitors will head to Portland at the end of August to close out the season with Rounds 17 and 18.

“I’m looking forward to ending the season strong with the Turn 3 Motorsport crew in Portland,” Dyszelski said. “I’m hoping to fight at the front for the final two races, and I’m confident we’ll be able to do that. The Turn 3 Motorsport team has worked incredibly hard all season long, and I want to reward them with a couple more solid results.”
