Birmingham, Ala. – Timothé Buret arrived at Barber Motorsports Park today with strong momentum after coming off his best result of the 2015 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires season at NOLA Motorsports Park two weeks ago.

The young French driver scored his first career podium with a third-place finish in what turned out to be a tricky race under wet conditions at the Louisiana track. He now returns to the Mazda Grand Prix of Alabama and the picturesque Barber track where he managed sixth- and ninth-place finishes during the Cooper Tires Winterfest in February.

Today, Buret had a strong start to the weekend after finishing second in both promoter test sessions, the official practice sessions begin on Friday.

The 19-year-old rookie driver pilots the #6 Juncos Racing/Broadsign Pro Mazda car and is starting his first full season of professional competition in North America. He is a native of Montpellier, France.

“We had a great race at the last event at NOLA. I was on the podium, and this morning we were second quickest during the test so I’m very confident about this weekend here at Barber.

"I know I have the speed and Juncos Racing has been very strong from the start here. Barber is a great track. It is a 'European style” track that I really enjoy and I have no doubt that we’ll be fighting for another podium here."
