Fresh off of a top-five finish in his first oval race, Devlin DeFrancesco had his eyes set on his first win of the Indy Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires Championship. In only his second oval race weekend, DeFrancesco mastered World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway to earn his second pole position of the season. Continuing off the momentum from starting on pole, the Italian-Canadian commanded the field and led 55 laps to capture the first win of his Indy Pro 2000 career.
Following his dominant performance leading from green to checkers, DeFrancesco now leads the championship standings by 25 points.
NEXT.
After completing both ovals on the 2020 Indy Pro 2000 schedule, DeFrancesco and the No. 17 crew head to the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a tripleheader weekend September 3-4.
Keep up to speed between the checkers and the greens with

"I haven’t had a win like this in such a long time and it’s the best feeling in the world! The team has done an unbelievable job. They’ve really gotten me up to speed on the ovals quite quickly – what to look for, what not to look for. I’m really enjoying the ovals. We have had a very strong car all week, from the first test on, and I knew we’d be even stronger in the race. We took a gamble after practice with the downforce level and it really paid off; the car was so easy to drive. It’s great to add to the championship lead but honestly, I’m not thinking about the points. We’re just taking it race by race, and this one was extremely satisfying. It’s a great confidence booster."
