Shelby Blackstock, No. 28 Starstruck

  • Series sophomore was seen as high as fourth before an oil line issue caused the No. 28 car to overheat on the last lap
  • 24-year-old came to the twin checkers in the fifth position

"Today was icing on the cake of our bad luck season. We were off on the first practice, qualifying we did pretty well with a P6, especially from where we were when we started the weekend. In the race we moved up to P4, everything was going good and I heard a pop in the back of the car and the car went into a limp mode for a couple seconds and the temperature skyrocketed; it was the last lap, so I had to finish it. Unfortunately we might have hurt the motor. For the way our season's gone, I was pretty happy with fourth - I would have liked to have gotten on the podium, but in the end, that's just the way our luck has been this year. Hopefully we can finally turn this bad luck around and hope for some good. Big thanks to the entire Andretti Autosport crew and the No. 28 Starstruck guys for all their hard work every weekend."

Garett Grist, No. 27 Lander Property Management/DaVinci Foods

  • Canadian brought home the No. 27 machine in the 15th position
  • As of Milwaukee, the rookie was fifth in the championship points fight

"Today... well we've just not had the pace all weekend. We've tried different setups - nothing has worked. I've tried a lot of things, but we just don't have it. We'll look at everything tonight and see what we can fix for tomorrow."
