Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires Race Preview: Grand Prix of Mosport

Matthew Brabham, No. 83

Scoring two pole positions and two wins on the streets of Toronto last weekend, Brabham continues on to the Grand Prix of Mosport leading the championship title fight. The American currently ties a Pro Mazda Championship record with graduate Conor Daly at seven wins in one season.

"Mosport has such great history. My grandfather won the Canadian Grand Prix there and my father raced there quite a few times also. I have heard so much about it from them, and it sounds like a really fun track! It's going to be a very fast track for our cars which should provide some great racing with cars slip-streaming past each other."

Shelby Blackstock, No. 28 Starstruck

Blackstock heads to Mosport's 2.459-mile track with sixth and seventh-place finishes in last weekend's doubleheader in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The 23-year-old remains third in the championship points standings.

"I've only heard good things about Mosport - a very fast and a very challenging track. I am very excited to try it out since it will be my first time there. Hopefully I can have a good weekend and come out of it with some good points to make up for my weekend in Toronto."
