 Shelby Blackstock, No. 28 Starstruck

  • Series sophomore completed his day sixth quickest out of the 19-car field at 1:23.6920

"At the end of our day, the last session didn't really go the way the No. 28 Starstruck team wanted it to. We're going to have to go back to the drawing board and see what we have to do to get up there with the frontrunners. I'm pleased with the performance of the team today, and hopefully we can make some changes overnight and have a good qualifying session. It might rain tomorrow, so that may throw a wrench into everyone's plans; we'll just have to see!"

Garett Grist, No. 27 Lander Property Management/Bell Helmets

  • Rookie was P7 overall at 1:23.7165

"Overall, I think today was a good day. We weren't P1 on the time sheets, we were P4, but that doesn't matter just because we learned a lot. We made some changes that didn't work, went back to what we had and we went a lot faster the last session; I think if we had that car the whole session, we would have been able to get a better time because my last lap was the best time. The whole Lander Property Management/Bell Helmet Andretti Autosport crew is going to keep building on what we learned today for sure, and we'll be good for tomorrow."
