Garett Grist, No. 27 Lander Property Management/Bell Helmets

  • Garnered his best Pro Mazda finish to date with a fourth-place finish
  • Series rookie moves up two spots in the championship to sit in ninth

" Today was a pretty good day for us; we ended the day P4 after starting P3. We lost a few spots in the start, then we were able to gain a few back and then lost a few more. We're happy with that, so far the regular season has been really tough for us we've had a lot bad luck and just not happy where we were previously so it's good to get fourth, but it's still not where I want to be. It's better than seventh or last so we are going to keep working and hopefully for the next race we are able to get back to where were before which was first place and on the podium. Thanks to Land of Property Management, Bell Helmets, DaVinci Foods, Sparco and the entire Andretti team."

Shelby Blackstock, No. 28 Starstruck

  • Started from the sixth grid position but retired early for P17 on the results sheet
  • Nashville native was pushed off track by competition and was unable to continue
  • Holds the fifth position in championship points fight

"I'm really happy with the team - the outcome of the race is such a disappointment, though. Unfortunately, we were on the outside of Turn 1 where everyone was involved in that incident, so we had to go through the grass and ended up falling back to P12. I came storming past the field and was passing for P6... I passed Neil Alberico on the outside and gave him room and it seemed he out-braked himself. I felt like we had a faster car today to catch the leaders again and get another good podium finish or even a win for the Starstruck crew. Our cards weren't dealt that way, but I want to thank the entire Andretti Autosport team for giving us such a good car all weekend and keep working as hard as they always do.

We had an unbelievable car and we definitely could have had the chance to go for the win in the end - disappointing, but that's racing. There are good days and bad days; yesterday we had a good day and unfortunately today was a horrible day. Very excited to get to the next race and hopefully get back to the podium; confidence is at a high right now. Thank you to Starstruck, Sparco and everyone on the Andretti Autosport crew."
